The Dead Sea (sea of salt)

As I arrived to The Dead Sea the first thing I notice was lots and lots of salt along the shores. The Dead Sea has barley any people living there or neer there do to the amount of salt. The Dead Sea is 67 kilometres (42 mi) long and 18 kilometres (11 mi) wide at its widest point. The salt in the Dead Sea makes the few people that go swimming float do to all the salt that is laying under water.

The Jordan River.

As the road was getting shorter the closes I was to the Jordan River. The Jordan River is a river in Southwest Asia which flows into the Dead Sea. The Jordan River is 251 kilometres (156 miles) long. In Christianity tradition Jesus was baptized here by John the Baptist. The Jordan River is a major source that flows through the Jordan Rift Valley and finally down the Dead Sea. The deepest point is 17 feets. While visiting the Jordan River I had the opportunity to go rafting which is something that people do here a lot.

Construction of the Great Wall began in the 7th Century BC when China was controlled by feudal warlords. It was joined together (along with China) in the Qin Dynasty 221-206 BC. Added to and rebuilt until the 16th century, the Great Wall's purpose was to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire from invaders.
